Aims & objectives

To increase awareness of using visual thinking tools in youth work with migrants and refugees, thus eliminating language as a barier
To learn what are those tools and how to apply them to concrete educational practice
To create a common “graphical vocabulary” that can be shared with more youth trainers and youth workers afterwards
To explore different art and graphic techniques and define how they can be useful in work with various inclusion groups
To try out different techniques and identify what fits more to participants’own personal facilitating style and educational environment
To become more self-expressive and to reduce risks of misunderstanding
To learn how to stimulate critical thinking with creative tools to promote non-violent communication through using creative methods and tools

Training methods used & main activities

Used creative methods in education, graphic facilitation, graphic recording, infographics, NFE, and other visual tools.
The main method was learning by doing, so every session participants learn through their own experience.

Outcomes of the activity

Developed creative methods in education. Participants equipped with skills of graphic facilitation, graphic recording, infographics and other visual tools in order to foster/ensure non-violent communication in the educational process.
Participants develop their own visual outcomes, instruments, samples, infographics, and visual projects to support their local youth/educational work.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Trainer - programme and session development. Delivering sessions, evaluation of the participant's practice work. Inspirational activities, professional support, and tutoring. Cooperation with a team of trainers and organizers. Group leading and process management. Problem-solving.Evaluating the training. Preparing report.

I worked on this training for 7 days as a full time trainer.
