Aims & objectives

The aim of the TC was the active involvement of youth in the program of the European Voluntary
Service and the culture of volunteering among young people.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

20 Youth workers. Cyprus Youth Council in co-operation with EPEKA (Slovenia), Centre for Creative Activity, People to People International (Bulgaria), JOETZ (Belgium), PRAXIS (Greece), Human Rights Youth Organization (Italy), Children and Youth Music Club (Latvia) and more..

Training methods used & main activities

The TC was based on intercultural learning process stimulating creativity, active participation and initiative. Main methods: Non formal education exercises and simulation games, organized workshops, lectures by experts, discussions with volunteers, working groups and relevant presentations.

Outcomes of the activity

Active involvement of the participants at all stages of preparation and implementation of the program and direct contact with Volunteering activities. Promotion of the European Voluntary Service programme. Partnership building. Participants were multipliers in order to attract enough young people to engage in volunteering in general and EVS in particular.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

To be part of the preparation team. To organise the educational program, to deliver training, to evaluate.
