TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

Aim:
To support youth workers to enable young people to develop the necessary skills and an ethical attitude when using
online-media tools especially in their “Youth in Action” projects.
Objectives:
• Present case studies where e-participation has been used in “Youth in Action” projects;
• Evaluate the opportunities and barriers for youth e-participation;
• Reflect on needed skills and attitudes to be developed in youth e-participation;
• Identify technical and pedagogical resources to implement youth e-participation;
• Support multiplying effects of the training module through a peer2peer process.
The target group of the training were youth workers / leader who would like to learn more about E-participation and online tools. This participants came from Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Spain.
This training used a mixture of non-formal methods learning methods. The methods varied from Sketches to help the participants to understand better the concept of internet to hand on practicals on how to use online tools creatively for dissemination.
The outcomes of Get Connected were:
- Participants understood better the different level of e-participation and how they can use them in their local organization.
- Evaluation the opportunities and challenges for youth E-participation
- Reflected on needed skills and attitudes to be developed in youth e-participation;
- Identified technical and pedagogical resources to implement youth e-participation;
- Increased their network, thus increasing the possibility of realizing good projects around the theme of E-Pax.
- Learned more about Erasmus+
Together with a team composed of SALTO participation, Italian and Cypriot NA and another trainers, I was responsible to give input on the design of the programme and the actual training implementation for get connected.
