Aims & objectives

The general idea of the TC "Formal + Non-Formal = Impact" is to bring together teachers from different EU and Eastern Partnership countries in order to build common understanding and exchange experience on how formal education could be combined with non-formal learning in order to promote the development of young people in rural areas where there are not that many opportunities than in bigger towns and cities.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The project includes 24 participants from Program countries (Latvia, Slovenia, Italy, Romania) and EECA countries (Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus).

Training methods used & main activities

The contents of the training include:
- Principles, values and characteristics of non-formal learning (NFL)
- Connection with formal education
- Needs and interests of young people in different countries that could be better addressed by NFL methods
- NFL methodology and application in life (also good practices)
- Empowerment of rural youth
- Opportunities of Erasmus+ programme

Outcomes of the activity

At the end of this project teachers discover NFE world and develop some skills by leading session using NFE methods. As a follow up activities, participants was encourage to apply NFE methds in schools activities.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was one of 3 trainers who make activities durring all training. We try to work together and in pair to facilitate the sessions:
* getting to know each other,
* teambuilding activities,
* different undestanding of education / learning,
* moving debate about Teacher vs. Trainer,
* characteristics of NFE,
* organising study visit to school in Chisinau and discuss with teachers from Moldova about posibilities to use NFE methods in school activities.
Together with my co-trainers we work in practical session where participants was devided in teams and lead session using NFE methods for developing their trainers skills. At the end of this practical session all participants give feedback about the process, method and role of trainer.

I worked on this training for 8 days as a full time trainer.
