Aims & objectives

- To impart to youth workers and youth knowledge and skills on emotional intelligence it via the use of the games,
- To assist youth workers to function more effectively in their work by exposing them to the latest concepts, information, and
GBL methods and developing in them the skills required in the field of emotional intelligence skills
- To build up a front-line of competent youth workers and prepare them as a part of their career progression to use the
games in their work with youth
- To broaden the minds of youth workers and youth by providing them opportunities for interchange of experiences and
knowledge.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The group consisted of 24 youth workers from the partners' countries will test both games in the training where they will be trained on how to use them in their work with youth (4 youth workers per partner)

Training methods used & main activities

A multiple methods were used during this training highlighted by the NFE methodologies in addition to this:
1. Concepts of gamification
2. Impact of gamification within Youth work and how to use it effectively within NFE.
3. Study cases and countries local achievements within the topic
4. Gaming and learning and how to combine the methods for high quality educational outcomes
5. Board Game presentation and testing
6. Introduction to Emotional intelligence & Conflict Management
7. Work environment and evaluation of leadership styles
8. Discussing challenges and signs of low emotional intelligence
9. Diaries and self assessment
10. Self reflection and self appreciation
11. Conflict resolution and characteristics.

Outcomes of the activity

A 5-days training lab for youth workers taking place in Germany and hosted by NGO NEST BERLIN to present and train them on the activities.
The training lab training programme will be the following (indicatively)
DAY 1: team building activities, presentation of the training programme.
3, participants individual presentation of their work with youth
DAY 2: training on the use of the Outdoor Games Guide to promote Emotional Intelligence skills
DAY 3: training on the use of Board Game on Improvement of Emotional Intelligence
DAY 4: training on the use of Digital/Serious Game on Conversation Flashcards
DAY 5: working on teams to develop training plans with the use of the 3 GBL tools of FELLOWSHIP project, reflections, evaluation and feedback, Youthpass ceremony.

The main expected result of the activities is Competence Development of Youth Workers. In particular, we are seeking:
(1) to support the continuous professional development of youth professionals,
(2) to train youth professionals on how to work with the specific GBL training tools to be developed by the project,
(3) to receive feedback on the GBL tools created so as to revise them and finalise them
This professional development training will enable the participants- youth workers and youth trainers/ facilitators- to support
young people with fewer opportunities to extract the maximum benefit from new emerging GBL tools, in a safe and
productive manner.
The training will add to the wider impact of the project:
(a) To support the professional development of youth workers, youth trainers/ facilitators, with a view to improving the quality
of youth work and youth training in Europe and Partner countries.
(b) To increase the capacity of all the youth organisations to correspond better to the needs of the young people.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

My Personal Tasks were taking care of the activities and management of the flow of the sessions and delivering the knowledge and facilitate the activities about.
- ICE Breakers and Team Buildings;
- What is NFE, FE, IF;
- Emotional Intelligence and impact of work environment on individuals for youth workers;
- Using gamification in youth work and increase youth engagement;
- Erasmus Plus presentation and potential project ideas facilitation;
- Game testing created in the project and youth workers evaluation.
- Overall evaluation and content Inspection.
All this were my responsibilities to make sure they understood the concepts and manage to transform the tips and theories into practice to share among themselves and get an outcome.

I worked on this training for 5 days as a full time trainer.
