EVS Midterm Training

The training activity took place
in Witzenhausen, Germany
organised by IBZW
10th - 15th of April 2013

Aims & objectives

The participants have been in their EVS-Projects for quite some months and the purpose of the midterm trainings is to catch up with their current situation and support them in further activities. Our focus was the project in the project, Youth Pass and a deeper conflict in the group (as 10 of the participants are living together and were facing quite some challenges together)

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

EVS Volunteers from the following countries:
Spain, France, Turkey, Poland, Ukraine, Italy, Estonia, Marocco, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Russia,

Training methods used & main activities

Developing was to present and visualize the knowledge in the group regarding Youth Pass. Together with some input and a lot of materials all groups developed a very creative mix of presentations and knowledge transfer to each other.

We create Future Workshops with diverse methods, peer coaching and a lot of ideas exchanges. The participants were all very involved and actively motivated to develop their future, start projects together and get things done.

Outcomes of the activity

Even after the seminar the team kept in touch with a big part of the group and could follow their upcoming future steps and activities. It seems that the participants really considered the topics and contents we worked through as helpful for their futures.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Together wit one other trainer I developed and conducted the whole seminar, we took further care of all logistics and organizational issues during the week.

I worked on this training for 6 days as a full time trainer.
