EVS MidTerm Evaluation Meeting

The training activity took place
in Sinaia, Romania
organised by Romanian Nationa Agency
23-27 March 2014

Aims & objectives

The goals of the Mid Term Meeting (MTM) were:
1. To evaluate the EVS experience until the event time;
2. To review of the personal objectives and expectation of everyone for the next period of the project;
3. To receive tools to continue the learning process;
4. To evaluate the perspectives after finishing the EVS project;
5. To exchange personal experiences.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The group was formed by 18 participants from Europe that were volunteers in Romania, in European Volunteering Service projects.
The training team was formed by: Sonia Donca-Bercuci and Marian Ancuta - trainers in the National Trainers Network for "Youth in Action" Programme (Romanian National Agency)

Training methods used & main activities

We used participative methods like: storytelling, learning factory, learning islands, living library, walk & talk, social animation, reflection instruments.

Outcomes of the activity

-Evaluating the EVS stage
- re-question the motivation of volunteers
- new tools to activate the EVS stage
- perspectives after EVS stage
At the end of the event we achieved all the goals. Other important results of the event were: personal learning & development plans of the participants; instruments and ideas to continue the volunteer activities

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

- plan and prepare the meeting
- adaptation of the event design
- facilitation of the learning process, and in reporting activity.

I worked on this training for 3 days as a full time trainer.
