TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
This is a reference for Soazic Bachelet
This Training was the last one of the year due to this EuroPeers Advisory Group (EAG) coming as an end. It first addressed the needs to reconnect physically between all Advisory Groups members along the trainers and the International Coordinator after 6 months of online working.
Besides reconnection, the aim was to make a final summary of the year while leaving a legacy and recommendations for the next potential EAG as to point them into the right direction.
Finally, the training also came as a celebration for all the work and achievements the members had been doing highlighting skills gained and measuring the impact it had on the network.
In that sense, it reached the purpose that it has been given and offered a nice closure to the EAG 2.0.
The EAG comprised of 9 young people coming from European countries that were already part of the EuroPeers network (Austria, Estonia, Germany, Finland, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Romania and Sweden). They had been working together since one year.
3 remaining members were not able to attend the training.
The Team comprised of me working as a Junior Trainer along my colleagues, 1 Senior Trainer and the EuroPeers International Coordinator.
As a reconnection activity, I used a musical Walk and Talk using props (smarties) to energize participants while giving them quick questions to foster small talk.
I also designed a skills based activity in which participants had to put all skills acquired during the year in a Hot balloon as a fuel to make it fly.
Another training method was a World café to get participants to reflect and offer suggestions and recommendations towards potential new AG.
Finally, I facilitated a Scrapbook activity to illustrate the Advisory Group diary that would be given to the next EAG. Participants were able to develop creativity skills using coloured felt pen, collage, drawings and gift paper.
The training enabled all members to meet face-to-face for the last time acknowledging the work done all together alongside trainers and coordinator. We could feel that the group became a close-knit team after working one year together.
Besides, the Estonian National Agency who visited during the training was pleased with the work done and gained a better understanding of the purpose of the EAG.
We also managed to end nicely the training offering to the participants both reflection tasks along a creative cooking activity in Tallinn, hence adding to the course an intercultural element.

I was responsible for the planning and designing of this training with my colleague, deciding each of the activities we will deliver.
We also assessed participants’expectations before the training to tailor it to their needs.
I facilitated the selected activities using Non Formal Education.
Besides, I also wrote a short report about the training and a post as a dissemination activity for the International EuroPeers account.
