Aims & objectives

Training AEGEE members on how to be coordinators of different teams at AEGEE European level bodies.

-Participants will become leaders
-Participants will improve their public speaking skills
-Participants will improve their knowledge about the European Union
-Participants will understand how policy and advocacy work

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

For this training, participants came from Germany, Spain, Turkey, Italy and Bulgaria.
The trainers were also from Spain, Turkey and Bulgaria.

Training methods used & main activities

The whole training was developed through non-formal education methodologies.
We did round tables of discussion, scavenger hunts, peer learning, group activities, and role plays.

Outcomes of the activity

The training was successful as right after 80% of the participants candidates and successful got elected into a position in different European bodies within the organization. Also, the feedback gathered was that it gave them the confidence and empowerment to take on more leadership roles.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was coordinating the whole training and assigning tasks. We divided the sessions and I took care about communications, public speaking and leadership. I was in constant contact with my co-trainers for all of us to give feedback to each other and improve also on the way that the training was happening.

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
