The "#ErasmusPlus" training course aimed to leverage social media as a key tool within youth work practices to promote European values and the Erasmus+ program itself. The primary goal was to empower youth workers with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the digital landscape effectively and utilize social media for positive engagement and promotion related to European themes and opportunities.
Specific objectives included:
- Developing youth workers' skills in using social media as a tool for youth work.
- Promoting European values through social media strategies.
- Empowering youth workers to adapt to the evolving digital environment.
- Facilitating the sharing of best practices among participants.
- Building a community among youth workers focused on these themes.
- Developing and utilizing interactive methodologies.
The project addressed the essential need for youth workers to adapt their practices to the digital age, particularly in using social media effectively to reach young people, promote positive values, and share information about opportunities like the Erasmus+ programme.
This training course supported the goals of participating organisations by enhancing their youth workers' digital competencies, specifically in utilizing social media for outreach, value promotion, and programme dissemination. This contributed to strengthening the organisations' overall capabilities and impact in the digital sphere.
The target group for this training course included both experienced youth workers and those newer to social media literacy and using digital tools for promoting European values. Participants were required to communicate effectively in English, be ready to participate actively throughout the entire project (preparation, training, follow-up), commit to organizing at least one follow-up activity in their local community, and actively disseminate the training results through various online channels (blogs, social media posts). Preference was given to participants with fewer opportunities.
This Training Course focused on leveraging social media for youth work, utilizing an interactive methodology. Activities centered on skill development related to social media tools and platforms, exploring strategies for promoting European values and the Erasmus+ programme online, sharing best practices among participants, and building a sense of community.
The training aimed to empower youth workers through active participation, skill-building, and collaborative learning within an interactive environment.
Participants developed skills and knowledge to effectively use social media as a tool in their youth work for promoting European values and the Erasmus+ program. They explored and shared best practices, contributing to a community of learning.
