Aims & objectives

AIM
The short-term training of the staff of the project partners responsible for providing non-formal education meets the necessary need for an exchange of experience at European level between the involved organizations. This included the development and strengthening of international cooperation networks and to increase the capacity to operate transnationally. Through the implementation of the mobility, participants shared ideas, practices and methods and confront them with the experiences of the organization's partners. During this mobility, participants focused primarily on transferring knowledge and experience to the staff of the Foundation in the methods and programs used in environmental and nature education.

OBJECTIVES
- to exchange experiences and methods of representatives of non-formal education staff
- to improve the competences of therepresentatives of the educational staff in the field of environmental education through participation in workshops
- to prepare the team to fully cooperate with seniors in the field of environmental and nature education of low ecological awareness of the elderly, non-compliance with the rules of waste segregation due to lack of knowledge and unwillingness even to make a modest effort in this field, disregard for the issue of water saving or air pollution
- to contribute to greater effectiveness of educational activities aimed at elderly people.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

10 representatives of non-formal education staff (6 people from Poland and 4 people from Greece) in the field of environmental and nature education through participation in workshops and trainings.

Training methods used & main activities

Workshop on green and sustainable cities
Brainstorming and understanding the concept of Circular Economy
Presentation of principles, methods of coordination and opportunities for environmental volunteering on the basis of Erasmus project experience
Developing methods and a program of work with seniors in the field of environmental education tailored to the specificity and needs of the region.

Outcomes of the activity

The action will be implemented in line with non-formal learning principles. The capacity-building process will be tailored to the needs, capabilities of the participants and will be organized and planned flexibly, including adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.
