Aims & objectives

Presentation of Youth in Action
Exploration of EVS projects working with fewer opportunities and disabilities in particular
Increase competences of conflict management and intercultural learning
Creation of a check list for EVS Coordination and Mentoring
Creation of partnerships

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The group consisted of 18 international youth workers, mentors, EVS supervisors and coordinator coming from Finland, Greece, Spain, Italy, Czech Republic, Portugal, Germany and Hungary.

Training methods used & main activities

The training was based on experiential learning and fundamentals of non formal education.
Tools included:
role playing, simulations, discussions, debates, world cafe, games-energizers, reflection ans self assessment/evaluation.

Outcomes of the activity

The participants awareness on how to work with volunteers within projects that operate in fewer opportunities was raised.
Participants increases their competence and understanding on intercultural learning and conflict resolution.
Learning styles were explored and reflected upon.
Youth in Action as a new Programme was explored and understood.
Partnerships developed between the participants.
A checklist of good practices within EVS and fewer opportunities was created as a manual.
