Aims & objectives

The aim of this mobility was to provide participants with a unique user experience that offered a holistic view of the digital space in an international environment. It aimed to enhance digital and innovation competencies, equip participants with the skills to support remote initiatives, and familiarize them with emerging technologies to effectively apply them in their daily work.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

The training was designed for youth leaders, youth workers, and educators. The mobility brought together partner organizations from Slovenia, Italy, Spain, and Czechia.

Training methods used & main activities

The mobility was structured into two main phases, each utilizing distinct non-formal and engaging methods to foster active participation. The online phase focused on hosting interactive and engaging online youth activities, exploring practical tools and methods to support them, and ensuring continuity between online meetings. The face-to-face phase emphasized the power of digital youth work, tools for offline activities, skills in audio and video editing, and the application of emerging technologies in youth work.

Throughout the mobility, a variety of non-formal methods were employed, including icebreakers, group work techniques to balance diverse skill levels, and hands-on, creative activities. Participants used digital tools from the Creative Digital Spaces toolbox, allowing them to gain practical experience and develop essential competencies in an engaging and collaborative environment.

Outcomes of the activity

The mobility equipped participants with practical skills and tools to enhance their digital youth work practices. They developed competencies in hosting engaging activities, using emerging technologies, and improving competencies like audio and video editing. Participants also gained deeper insights into the continuity between online and offline initiatives, strengthening their ability to design cohesive and impactful programs.

An additional outcome was the creation of playlists on the Cities of Learning platform (example: https://global.cityoflearning.eu/en/activities/17453) which document and share the methods and activities explored during the mobility. These playlists serve as open resources for others in the youth work community, promoting wider application and innovation in the field.
