TOY - Trainers Online for Youth

This training course aims to increase participants' understanding of combating extremism and radicalization and to explore the role of youth work in response.
34 youth workers from Turkey, France, Italy, Portugal, N. Macedonia, Romania, Poland, and Greece attended.
In this training course, NFE tools were implemented. This tools were;
- presentation,
- get to know each other
- brainstorming
- small group discussion (pull factors, push factors and Contextual factors)
- case study,
- Shaping games
- Creating action plan etc.
Basically, participants identify and understand the causes of violent extremism and radicalization, understand the importance of dialogue on the concept of citizenship and investigate identity problems; to find solutions to these problems.
Also, giving youth workers the ability to identify young people at risk; equip them with educational
tools that respond to different levels of extremism and radicalization.
I was one of the full-time trainers. We shared sessions among trainers and implemented them with NFE methods. My role provided an environment for help young people at risk of extremism and radicalization, using Erasmus+ opportunities to
design non formal education tools and activities and implement them in partner organizations. Also, I facilitate sessions about problem/conflict solutions and dialogue
