Civic Education Training of Instructors

Aims & objectives

This Training is dedicated for civic education trainers in order to be able to conduct training of trainers.
Aims:
-To reinforce the participants' understanding and the use of the 360 approach of civic education proposed by the center for applied policy research
-To mentor the participants in organising and implementing themselves the Training of Trainers in the national level

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

10 participants from the MENA Region, all previously trained on the 360 methodology

Training methods used & main activities

The training is based on the conceptual approach of the open-source-manual 360° Civic Education – Value-based Concepts and Experiential Activities. Training Manual for Civil Society Actors and Trainers in the MENA region which was developed by the CAP Munich.

Outcomes of the activity

The participants acquired a range of competences for their role as instructors, including the reflection of tools and approaches to Civic Education, receiving coaching on challenges as instructors and cooperation in a training team. They strengthened their view for the needs of the entire society and continuously evaluated their work when training others in Civic Education.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

As part of the facilitators' team, I collaborated with my 2 colleagues Mohsen and Mohamed in the selection of the participants, the design, the implementation and online adaptation of the training sessions, evaluation and reporting.

I worked on this training for 15 days as a full time trainer.
