Aims & objectives

”CHAnCe: Continue the no HAte Campaign!” project aims to bring together youth workers from the two participating countries, to share their experience and good practices for combating hate speech and to develop a strategy on how they will continue supporting and promoting NHSM campaign’s ideas and products in a local and national level after its official ending in 2017.

Objectives
• to strengthen transnational cooperation between organizations from Greece and Lichtenstein on their common battle against the rise of hate speech
• to initiate a sustainable network of organizations and/or individuals that will continue spreading the ideas and messages of NHSM, by implementing offline and online activities in a local and national level
• to exchange good practices, methods and tools that effectively address the problem of online hate speech, and promote human rights education methodology in youth work

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

5 Youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, mentors, volunteers, project managers, NGO members from both countries (Norway and Greece).

Outcomes of the activity

After the completion of the training activity participants evaluated the course by having non formal education evaluation methods and the team reached to the following results:
• there was a tightening of the transnational cooperation between organizations from Greece and Lichtenstein on their common battle against the rise of hate speech
• we set a base for sustainable network of organizations and/or individuals that will continue spreading the ideas and messages of NHSM, by implementing offline and online activities in a local and national level
• there was an a exchange of good practices, methods and tools that effectively address the problem of online hate speech, and promote human rights education methodology in youth work

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

I was responsible for the designing of the activities and the composition of the daily programme. Moreover I was the lead trainer in half of the activities and the daily reflection using non formal education methods.

I worked on this training for 4 days as a full time trainer.
