Aims & objectives

The main objectives of the project are:
- to learn about sustainability on a theoretical and practical level,
- deepen the understanding of interdependency with nature,
- practise and learn about living in conditions with low impact on environment in a community style,
- share experience and knowledge about nature and sustainability,
- learn practical skills for light-weight living and camping,
- experience and learn about nature-based methods supporting self-development,
- use the example of Skalka centre and community for learning and reflection about sustainability in practice,
- empower participants for future initiatives, activities and projects.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

Team: 10 people from 6 countries

Participants: 30 people from 9 countries

Training methods used & main activities

The course includes typical non-formal learning methods such as group work, workshops, simulations, brainstormings, reflections and excursions to gain knowledge and skills. Alongside the training sessions there are nature-based experiential methods included which are based on techniques used by various ancient cultures and indigenous people.
