Aims & objectives

To empower and equip young leaders and youth workers with skills which helps them for conflict resolution - negotiation, intercultural communication, diversity management and conflict resolution skills on personal, interpersonal and organizational level to contribute to the culture of peace and cooperation

• To discuss today’s political confrontations in Europe and neighboring countries
• Go deeper to self assessment, find the details of their cultural
belongings and how the cultural and national identity and pride are reflected in each individual
• Find common values and create negotiation and dialogue between participants
• Foster them to emphasize the importance of bilateral and intercultural dialogue and the importance of Gathering to live together
• Motivate the young individuals to come up with long-lasting project ideas to undertake in their home countries upon changing attitudes and fostering intercultural dialogue.

Target group & international/intercultural composition of the group & team

This training course was taking place in Kobuleti in Georgia, location inspiring for the conflict resolution as the current situation in Caucasus is stressed.

We cooperated there with participants from countries related to this topic, such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Hungary, Poland, Czechia and Slovakia.

Among others, we did:
improve the sense of initiative and negotiation through improvisational theater,
provide a space for sharing best practices focusing on non-formal educational methods in the field of youth work, promote need of tolerance in society full of differencies, promote active citizenship and non-violent actions towards peace and democracy, foster international development cooperation between European, Caucasian and Eastern partnership regions and their neighboring countries.

Pay attention to these information:
- This project is funded by the Erasmus+ programme.
- This training course is intended for participants from youthwork area.
- The communicative level of English is essential for full participation in training course.
- Participants have got an opportunity to demonstrate officialy their active participation in a project with a Youthpass certificate.

Training methods used & main activities

The following working methods used during the TC:
- Short interactive presentations by the trainers
- Presentations led by participants
- Facilitated discussions and brainstorming in plenary and in small groups
- Facilitated reflection groups to monitor and support the individual learning
- Activities in mixed nationality groups, couples, trios and individually followed by a debriefing
- Icebreakers, games and role play

- Facilitated group reflection and evaluation

Outcomes of the activity

- Communication in mother tongue: Participants improved their mother tongue communication skills not only while cooperating with their native colleagues in the group but also comparing their language with other similar languages, which is activating their logical thinking and cognitive skills (developing the mathematical competence).
- Social and civic competences: important competence which developed by implementing interactive methods leading to gain higher self-confidence, to be more self-aware of one’s strengths. Participants are encouraged to develop networking skills and very important skill - the ability to work as a team. Co-creating, co-working.
- Participants learn to recognize one’s own learning needs, reflecting on learning experiences and processes, assessing one’s personal learning outcomes. During the training course, they got to know new learning styles and opportunities and learn new non-formal educational tools. The aim is that they could easily adapt it in their everyday lives.

Your tasks and responsibilities within the team

Trainer - responsible for the e-preparation of participants and the content of the training course.
-Development of training modules,
-To evaluation methods,
- To collect resource materials and their distribution among participants.

I worked on this training for 9 days as a full time trainer.
