I have particular interest in areas of health and wellbeing, advocacy, media literacy and Global Citizenship Education. I teach 4 modules on the Youth Work Masters Programme
- Creative Methodologies in Youth Work
- Creative Social Action
- Facilitation Skills in Development Education (5 credits)
- Project Planning, Management and Leadership Skills (5 credits)

The programme is now in its 3rd year and I am responsible for the design, delivery, timetabling, and assessment of these modules, which focus on advanced professional practice in youth work and community development. These modules are social policy-oriented, focused on building connections with students between policy, theory, and practice through critical, creative, and action-based inquiry.

TCA (Transnational Co-operations Activities) is one of the elements of the European Training Strategy of Erasmus+: developed to implement a supportive and quality approach of the Programme.
Its aim is to bring added value and increased quality in the overall Programme implementation and so contribute to increasing the impact of the Programme at systemic level. Types of activities consist of :

Transnational training, support and contact seminars of potential Programme participants;
Transnational thematic activities linked to the objectives, priority target groups and themes of the Programme;
Transnational evidence based analysis of Programme results.

My key responsibilities include:
Project management; including planning, implementation and budgeting
Strategic development; informed by needs analysis and developments in youth, education and training policies
Implementation; design, promotion and recruitment for TCA activities
Training; to my colleagues to raise profile of TCA and to support staff in the implementation of TCA activities

My responsibilities included the development of CnN as a consultative forum facilitating the interaction of both Waterford county and city young people with policy makers and service developers in shaping policy and services country wide.
