TOY - Trainers Online for Youth
http://trainers.salto-youth.net/MarinaLuka/
I am a creative, and curious person who is passionate about education. I am confident in working with art-based and creative methods, and I love using the environment as a learning space. Some topics I am interested in are inter- and intrapersonal development, professional well-being, creativity and culture, social inclusion, interculturality, and sustainability. I am a bit (too) philosophical, and I drink too much coffee, but I do my best to balance it with some calm energy and irony.
Marina Luka has 5 references for past work as a trainer.
Free lance trainer, facilitator, project manager
I have been working in the field of international youth work since 2015 when I started to collaborate with organizations in Hungary and abroad. My professional path is greatly characterized by my work at the Artemisszió Foundation, where I deepened my experience in art-based methods, like storytelling and theatre while working with vulnerable social groups. I initiated and managed strategic partnership projects within the E+ program, ran fundraising and communication campaigns, and held training in the fields of intercultural communication, social inclusion, media literacy, and digital communication. I am a founder of the NGO Puentes Hungary, which aims to provide opportunities for project-based collaborations for international trainers, artists, and professionals in the field of education, and support local youth initiatives. I work as a freelance trainer and project manager in international projects as part of different trainers teams specialized in social inclusion. I love to use creative and outdoor methods based on non-formal education.
Regarding my formal education, I hold a degree in Liberal Arts and International Relations. Towards the end of my studies, I took part in a youth exchange which was a real life-changing experience. I wanted to know more about the educational aspects of the program, so I started to volunteer for ICRP in Budapest, and then I did an internship at ONG Sal Fuera in Spain. During the 6-month program, I learned about project management, facilitation, and the structure of the program. I wanted to get a specialization, therefore I applied for Artemisszió Foundation where I worked as a project coordinator between 2018 and 2022. The foundation’s main focus is to support interculturality and social dialogue, so we worked on projects with a quite diverse focus from democracy education to communication. I gain experience in methods of art mediation, storytelling, and theatre. I took part in trainings in the related fields and methods, and I value and prioritize continuous learning and taking part in professional events/forums. I participated in the 2021/22 edition of SALTO TOT, which gave me a deeper understanding of my skills and helped me define my goals as a trainer. Currently, I work as the founder and member of an NGO Puentes Hungary, where we foster intersectoral collaborations, and support youth initiatives. I enjoy working in teams and designing learning environments and programs. I believe in the creativity and passion of youth, and I would like to create spaces where they can discover those.
