Passionate about breaking barriers, I’m a trainer with expertise in inclusion and accessibility, turning important topics into engaging and memorable experiences. As a psychologist, I love mental health topics & I'm addicted to graphic facilitation—I blend practical tools to empower participants to create change. Whether it’s youngsters, youth workers or communities, I believe in learning that’s fun, impactful, and unapologetically human. Let’s make the world inclusive—one movement at a time!
Anastasia Tasoula has 4 references for past work as a trainer.
Inclusivity trainer & Manager of Be Visible, Be You Organisation
When it comes to my recent experience with youth work:
1. I am the founder of "Be Visible Be YOU," an NGO dedicated to promoting inclusion, accessibility, and empowerment through creative, non-formal education. Through this platform, I’ve led impactful projects that address social, environmental, and personal development issues, always prioritizing the values of equity and authenticity. Founding this organization has been a pivotal experience for me, as it allows me to combine my professional background in psychology and inclusion with my personal passion for creating tangible, positive change in society.
2. I have been a trainer from 2019, on projects focusing on social, inclusion, personal development, and health topics, combining my expertise in inclusion and accessibility, my studies on psychology and my passion for creative methodologies.
Here comes some examples:
❥ "Step Into a Disability" & "Teenagers Edition": Facilitated accessibility-driven training sessions using simulations and co-designed activities to foster inclusion and understanding.
❥ "Inclusive and Accessible Design": Led systemic-focused training, combining universal design principles with actionable strategies for inclusivity in workplaces and public institutions.
❥ "Organic Mission": Developed initiatives connecting sustainability and accessibility, exploring how eco-friendly practices can be inclusive of all individuals.
❥ "Ροή Project": Created mental health-focused workshops utilizing creative tools to promote emotional well-being and resilience.
❥ "Healing Marks" Series: Developed workshops and storytelling events focused on body positivity, scars, and resilience, creating safe spaces for self-expression and social awareness.
When it comes to my personal background the last few years:
❥ I personally am a disabled person, having done a double lung transplant and embracing cystic fibrosis each day - in a system that didn't want to even give me a second chance to live. This meant basically me advocating for my rights to be alive from an ICU for months in 2022 - and after then I'm advocating for the rights of others to live and take with respect all the health care they deserve, need, and last but not least, all the healthcare our system is obligated to give them.
When it comes to my past (before 2019) and my educational/professional background:
❥ My work is deeply influenced by my professional background as a psychologist with a master on accessibility and inclusion of disabled people, having worked in schools with individuals with Autism, Asperger syndrome, and Down Syndrome, as well as in Athens Central Psychiatric Hospital.
❥ My volunteer experience with refugees and in the prisons of Korydallos has strengthened my understanding of human rights, resilience, and inclusion.
❥ As a public speaker, I advocate for the human right to be real and live authentically as a disabled human in Greece of 21th century, a theme I addressed during my 2018, 2020 TEDx talk.
❥ Beyond training, I express creativity through photography, graphics, macrame creation and latin dance, bringing movement and art into my workshops.
I hold a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Accessibility and Inclusion of Disabled People, providing a strong foundation in understanding human behavior, systemic barriers, and fostering inclusivity. My work in schools with individuals with Autism, Asperger syndrome, and Down Syndrome, as well as in Athens Central Psychiatric Hospital, deepened my experience in creating safe, supportive environments.
Since 2019, I’ve been a trainer designing and facilitating experiential learning projects like "Step Into a Disability" and "Inclusive and Accessible Design", combining simulations, co-creation, and storytelling to foster impactful learning. These experiences bridge my academic knowledge with my passion for creative methodologies, making a tangible difference in how people approach accessibility and inclusion.
Through self-directed learning, I’ve mastered artistic methodologies such as graphic facilitation, photography, macramé, and storytelling, using these tools to foster creativity and inclusion. This continuous learning process enables me to design workshops that engage participants deeply while addressing mental health, accessibility, and body positivity.
Last but not least, running "Be Visible Be YOU Organisation" has further taught me to translate values like inclusion into impactful projects. I’ve gained skills in project design, strategic planning, and stakeholder collaboration, refining creative, non-formal methodologies to inspire real change and align with organizational goals.
Graphic facilitation, Photography, Mental Health Methodologies, Advocating for disabled rights, Policy making for healthcare.
