This is a report of Study Visit on Youth Initiatives in Palestine. It helps to shows youth workers how they can help youth & youth workers to understand how the youth initiative is started and working on ground and in various fields in the South Med.

Aims of the tool

Objectives:

-Expose participants to social entrepreneurship experiences through youth initiatives
-Develop the understanding of youth initiatives & entrepreneurship; & its relation to Youth Work
-Reflect on how Youth Work can be recognized as provider of youth entrepreneurship
-Increase the knowledge of participants as to the EUROMED Youth Program and future partnerships

Description of the tool

“Explore Youth Initiatives in Palestine” is a EuroMed youth study visit with 6 partner countries (EU and MEDA) from Spain, Slovakia, Italy, Turkey, Jordan, Morocco, and Palestine.

This EuroMed Youth study visit was organized by JUZOOR from December 1st to 5th 2014 in Ramallah. Total of 26 participants took part in this study visit. Each partner country sent 3 participants (one youth worker/leader and two young people).

The study visit program included information session, educational activities, working group and discussions, study visits to around 20 youth initiatives (social, educational, economic, entrepreneurial) and 3 youth organizations in Ramallah, Qaliqilia, Tulkarem, and Jericho> Young people worked together to come up with new ideas to cooperate together on joint EuroMed youth initiatives and activities in their countries, and all partners developed long strategic partnership for 2015 within the Erasmus + and EuroMed Youth programs.
