to raise awareness on global inequalities
First the group will take part in the lottery of live in the world, where about ¾ of the group get the tickets for the first meal and ¼ of the group gets tickets for the nice meal – as it is in the world
When the got their tickets chosen, and are devided in the 2 groups, they have to get in front of their places and voila ... bon apetit ...
the resulting situations are very interesting, from “should we share” to “why and what” and “no this is ours” interruption is not necessary, but as some kind of “border patrol” it might be useful to prevent total mix in the first place

This tool is for
15 and older Participants 15 to 25
and addresses
Group Dynamics, Intercultural Learning, Youth Democracy projects, Environment
Materials needed:
Normal size room appropriate for group size, no exorbitant space needed
2 tables, or one large table needed
Materials:
2 spaces on the table prepared with food in the following way:
1st side: just plane bread (best when already 2 days old) enough for about 10 people, not to much, just right and some water
2nd side: bread, butter, cheese, (all just vegetarian please) fruits, vegetables, juice, .... nice meal
dishes, glasses, napkins, and all necessary
- the both side are covered up so not visible when the group aproaches
Duration:
30 minutes within a workshop-concept that also serve as a break and will be discussed afterwards in 10 minutes or more
