This toolkit consists of 12 activities to support young people's mental health during participation activities. Activities are divided into icebreakers, individual and group activities. They were tried and tested by the Keep Dreaming project partners.

Aims of the tool

The aim of this toolkit is to promote mental health in youth participation activities. While each activity has its own individual objectives, such as developing self-awareness or teaching youth positive stress management techniques, all 12 activities strive to provide young people with a positive participation experience.

Description of the tool

The Tools to Manage Mental Health in Participation Activities Toolkit consists of 12 youth participation activities that were developed, tried and tested by project partners Fundación Plan B Educación Social, Idee in Movimento, Volunteers Centre Skopje and InterMediaKT in the Keep Dreaming Erasmus+ Project (2022-3-ES02-KA210-YOU-000096531).

The activities are divided into different categories: getting to know each other, individual reflection, group work, and activities that combine both individual reflection and group work. They are meant to be implemented within other youth participation activities (e.g. youth exchange, local youth community activities, etc.). Some of the activities require additional materials, which are listed in the description. A few also have supplemental materials that are included in the annexes.

Although each activity has its own objectives related to different aspects of mental health, all of them contribute to promoting mental health during youth participation activities and showing young people the importance of participating in their communities and abroad.
