The "HERO (Human Rights Education Opportunity)" handbook focuses on raising awareness about human rights issues in youth work and equipping youth workers with the knowledge, skills, and tools to advocate for and promote human rights education.
To raise awareness of human rights issues in youth work, develop the capacities of youth workers and leaders, and empower them to promote and protect human rights within their practices and communities.
Purpose:
The handbook aims to provide youth workers and leaders with the resources and methods needed to address human rights issues in youth work, develop critical thinking about their practices, and actively advocate for human rights education in their local communities.
Methodology:
The "HERO" handbook incorporates interactive approaches, sharing of experiences, and practical methods to facilitate the learning of human rights principles. It emphasizes peer learning and collective problem-solving, fostering collaboration among participants.
Learning Outcomes:
Awareness of Human Rights: Participants will gain a deeper understanding of human rights and their relevance to youth work.
Skill Development: Youth workers will develop critical thinking, communication, and advocacy skills necessary for promoting human rights.
Knowledge Sharing: Participants will learn to exchange good practices and transfer their knowledge to others, fostering a collective learning process.
Practical Application: Users will be equipped with the ability to connect human rights frameworks to everyday youth work practices.
