The "Meet the Method" handbook introduces non-formal education methods to youth workers, particularly those with limited experience. It aims to empower them in their profession by providing tools, techniques, and intercultural perspectives on learning.
To empower youth workers by equipping them with the necessary skills and methods for implementing non-formal education, fostering intercultural learning, and enhancing their ability to support young people on their learning paths.
Purpose:
The handbook is designed to address the challenges faced by youth workers, such as lack of self-confidence, skills, and leadership abilities. By providing practical methods and fostering intercultural dialogue, the handbook aims to enhance their competence, confidence, and creativity in youth work.
Methodology:
The "Meet the Method" handbook offers a variety of approaches, including experiential learning, best practices, and intercultural methods. It emphasizes collaboration, ownership, and active participation to foster a deeper understanding of NFE and lifelong learning.
Learning Outcomes:
Understanding NFE: Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of non-formal education, its characteristics, and its role in lifelong learning and intercultural settings.
Professional Development: Youth workers will enhance their professionalism, develop civic engagement, and take responsibility in guiding youth.
Intercultural Competence: The handbook promotes intercultural sharing and exchange, fostering tolerance and cooperation among diverse communities.
Facilitation Skills: Users will acquire skills to deliver engaging and participatory NFE programs that encourage creativity and ownership.
