education for mixed groups of young people/young people with disabilities with the aim of fostering their spirit of participation and active citizenship

Aims of the tool

Improving the quality of youth work and the recognition of such activities: Using the concrete experiences and reflections of the practitioners of the partner organisations, the aim is to promote inclusion and youth initiative.

Promoting the inclusion of young people with disabilities in group and community contexts: Using a reasoned and tested model of accompaniment during the project, the aim is to promote participation and active citizenship among young people with disabilities.

To stimulate the participation of young people (NG) and young people with disabilities (GDI) in the community by making them active citizens: This objective aims to ensure real inclusion and a better quality of life for young people with disabilities, enabling them to contribute with their own skills and possibilities.

Promoting a vision of disability as a resource and overcoming stereotypes: Through the sharing of common spaces, social initiatives and moments of daily life, the aim is to build a more welcoming and inclusive community, breaking down existing barriers.

Description of the tool

Operational toolkit for the application of Peer
education for mixed groups of young people/young people with disabilities with the aim of fostering their spirit of participation and active citizenship. To create an active and participative learning model based on reflective and constructive understanding for the creation of mixed youth/youth-disabled groups and which can be an exportable model for other youth workers.
