To show how the message received can differ from the message transmitted when using a lingua franca such as English

Description of the tool

Each group sits or stands in a line one behind the other. Give the first person in the line a few seconds to read the tongue twister. That person then whispers it to the next person and so on. When it reaches the end the last person says out loud the sentence.

What has happened to it ? Have any words changed ?

Follow-up activity

In English this game is Chinese whispers, in French téléphone Arabe. What other expressions in different languages use nationality terms ? e.g. it’s Greek to me, mind my French, go Dutch
