Project Description
‘Active Resilience’ is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange on the themes of disaster awareness, resilience and social awareness. The project aims to bring young people together to strengthen their preparedness for natural and man-made disasters, develop psychological resilience and social solidarity skills. Through workshops, field studies and group activities organised for seven days, participants will gain both personal development and professional skills through non-formal education methods.

Main Aims and Objectives
- Disaster Awareness: To ensure that young people acquire the basic knowledge and skills necessary before, during and after disasters.
- Psychological Resilience: To disseminate stress and anxiety management, crisis communication and ‘psychological first aid’ skills.
- Intercultural Learning: To strengthen the sense of empathy, tolerance and co-operation through cultural exchange among participants from different countries.
- Capacity Building through Non-formal Education: Developing participants' leadership, volunteering and teamwork skills through role-playing, simulation, open field practices and other interactive methods.
- Impact at Local and Transnational Level: To ensure the sustainability of the project by organising mini-trainings, seminars or volunteer activities in their communities with the outputs of the project.

Why should you participate?

- Active and Transformative Experience: Your youth will take part in both practical and inspiring workshops on disaster awareness and resilience.
- International Cooperation: By networking with organisations from other European countries, you will have the opportunity to develop broader projects in the future.
- Supporting Disadvantaged Youth: Including at least 2 disadvantaged youth (facing financial, social, geographical, etc. barriers) in the project will strengthen social inclusion.
- Lasting Impact: The participants will both disseminate the project and increase local capacity with the activities they will organise in their localities upon their return.

Expectations from Partners
- Participation and Preparation: Each partner should hold at least one preparatory meeting with their team prior to the project, sharing project objectives and logistical information.
- Inclusion and Accessibility: Consider the needs of each participant, including disadvantaged youth (e.g. economic, social, cultural, geographical barriers).
- Social Media and Visibility: Increasing the visibility of ‘Active Resilience’ through regular posts during and after the project.
- Local Dissemination Event: Organising at least one promotion/workshop etc. upon return to share the project outputs with your community.
- Communication: Regular exchange of information with the project team throughout the whole process (preparation, implementation, follow-up), ensuring compliance with deadlines.
