WE MANAGE THE SOCIETY!

Our project is aimed at finding solutions to disciplinary problems in schools and we plan to include solutions that will contribute to classroom management.

Human is a social being and constantly interacts with others around him to survive. It is inevitable that there will be conflicts in this interaction process. The aim of the education systems, which the products are human, is to educate the individuals who form the society through schools and to enable them to acquire certain behaviors that require living together. There is a need for rules and sanctions to regulate the processes in schools in order to prevent the occurrence of undesirable, disruptive situations or to solve disciplinary problems that may arise. The increasing number of studies on classroom management and discipline in recent years and the introduction of classroom management courses in teacher training institutions indicate that interest in this field has increased. It can be said that the increasing interest in classroom management stems from the teacher's role in performing teaching as well as the role of classroom management; affecting the students' knowledge, skills, attitudes and habits.
Our project is aimed at finding solutions to disciplinary problems in schools and we plan to include solutions that will contribute to classroom management. In this way, we will be able to find solutions to school discipline problems in Turkey by observing problems in Europe, understand where we are missing and how to close and correct this insufficients in classroom management Our goals include trying to find answers to these questions; '’How do we create a disciplined environment in the classroom? ’’ ‘'How do we prevent peer bullying?'' ‘’How to manage the class effectively’’
Our participants were planned as a group of 7 teachers. In order to assist in the foreign language, two English teachers are composed of teachers from different disciplines (Visual Arts, Turkish, Science, Mathematics and Religious Culture and Ethics) that are expected to support observation and research.
The planned activities of our project are; Our main activities will be to start by observing the disciplinary problems in schools and then to observe how these problems are approached and what solutions are found. In addition, the opportunity to receive seminars from experts who have sufficient knowledge on this subject will be our second activity.
As for the results of the project, we plan to share what we have learned as a result of our training and observations with our colleagues in our school and to implement them together. We think it will be an effective training and observation for us. In the long term, we aim to solve the disciplinary problems of our school and our students, and aim to implement classroom management effectively. At the same time, we expect that students who have received education and training in an environment where disciplinary problems are reduced will exhibit less criminal behaviors in the society and that the rate of crime in society will decrease.
