'We are in. it!' - Partner (10.2024)

This training equipped youth workers with tools to foster migrant inclusion, reduce xenophobia, and promote intercultural dialogue through non-formal education.

The "We Are In.It!" training course aimed to equip youth workers with tools and methods to foster the integration of migrants and refugees, reduce xenophobia, and promote intercultural dialogue. Recognizing the increasing diversity in European societies, the project addressed the challenges of social inclusion and the role of youth work in supporting newcomers' integration. The main objectives were:

- To enhance the capacity of youth workers to support migrants and refugees.
- To develop new methods and tools for inclusion and awareness-raising.
- To break down cultural stereotypes and foster mutual understanding.
- To increase awareness of contemporary migration issues.
- To encourage international cooperation in migrant and refugee integration efforts.

The project aligned with our commitment to social inclusion and youth empowerment, providing youth workers with practical skills to promote diversity and inclusion in their communities.

The training course took place in Lama Dei Peligni, Chieti, Italy, bringing together 28 youth workers from nine countries: Italy, Spain, Germany, Lithuania, Palestine, Tunisia, Jordan, Turkey, Portugal.

Participants were selected based on their experience in youth work and motivation to improve migrant inclusion practices. They included professionals working in NGOs, Erasmus+ projects, and community-based initiatives supporting refugees and marginalized youth.
