Don’t let summer slip by without a camping trip!

If bicycle races in the brook, trekking in the forest, swimming in the waterfall & homestay in the ethnic house sound like fun, this camp is for you! This camp will highlight our most attractive programs “Lean Startup, training business skills for student & native community” (support the ecotourism project of international NGOs).This camp will combine harmony between business - native culture - wild nature experience; full of useful knowledge, adventure and a love of all things tiny as we explore the most enchanting places at the Ngoc Son Ngo Luong Natural Reserve (NSNL), Hoa Binh, Vietnam!

This is your chance to spend a whole week in the amazing colourful world. We’ll be sure to keep it lively with plenty of interesting hunts, running games, and exploration hikes too! Bring your boots because we are going to visit NSNL, hike up to many wild landscape and travel off trail in search of most exciting areas to explore. So let’s get wild and free in the woods! During this week we will delve into diversity of wildlife in the swamp, river, beaver ponds, meadows, and forests at the Natural Reserve. How many difference kinds of animals do you think we can find at the Natural Reserve? You never know what we might find!

Finally, you will get a chance to put your new skills to the test during an overnight camping trip! Join us for an exciting week of exploration and discovery all their life, put your senses to the test in the cultural activities. This summer camp we are will provide a “best of” experience for all the campers.

STARTUP SUMMER CAMP - “LEAN STARTUP”

Lean Startup is an intensive program designed to equip university students knowledge about Startup Skill & Internet Marketing. Through specific topics of education resources, students will understand thoroughly Startup Skill & Internet Marketing plays a very important role in financial independence dream.

Now, the students who have startup dream may face the threat from the failed startup because shortage of Startup Skill & Internet Marketing has been happening in many universities in Vietnam. However, the international & Vietnamese professional of CVTD are able to contribute their efforts to change that situation. The lessons in Lean Startup will help them be aware of themself, encourage them to recognize their talents, habits of Startup Skill & Internet Marketing use and adjust inappropriate ones. The students will practice and encourage their families and communities to use Startup Skill & Internet Marketing effectively. As a consequence, the program does not only aim to raise awareness of students about Startup Skill & Internet Marketing use but also has the power to spread the matter in the community.

BACKGROUND OF NGOC SON NATURAL RESERVE

Ngoc Son Ngo Luong Nature Reserve (NSNL) is a beautiful new ecotourism destination southeast of Hanoi city, situated between Cuc Phuong National Park and Pu Luong Nature Reserve. NSNL contains a variety of wonderful landscapes and ecosystems and is also home to traditional villages of the Muong ethnic minority.
Many parts of NSNL still contain high levels of biodiversity and high rates of endemism. The Reserve contains a range of species listed as globally rare or endangered, and many are protected under Vietnamese law. This is a relaxing and peaceful place, where visitors can be surrounded by nature and rediscover a sustainable way of living.

Funding and support for ecotourism in NSNL were provided through a development project of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (AECID). The project was implemented by the Hoa Binh Forest Protection Department (FPD) and the NGO Foundation for the Social Promotion of Culture (FPSC).

Besides, they can participate in an interesting summer program with a number of opportunities to learn, to find out the Startup process and to consult the experience of local and overseas professional on these issues.

Participant will be aware that

* Startup Skill & Internet Marketing must be daily use for yourselves, your families, your communities and the future generations, as soon as possible.

Participant will take the following actions
* Learn Startup Skill & Internet Marketing and use it wisely
* Practice, encourage and guide other people to use Startup Skill & Internet Marketing
* Confidently solve your problems
* Presenting your own ideas to receive advice & fund from mentor & investor

Main activities
There are the main activities in the summer camp “Lean Startup”:

- Workshop training/ Reality practice/ Case study/ Talk show/
- Trekking tour/ Wildlife Tour
- Exchange culture activities with local communities
- Visit Ngoc Son Ngo Luong Nature Reserve & many place

And the activities depending on the request of participants.

Depending on real conditions, content and order of activities in the above schedule may be changed and rotated accordingly, giving the program the highest quality.


VOLUNTEER JOBS DESCRIPTIONS

Title: International Volunteer

Description: Take part in & support students in Startup Summer Camp 2013 “Lean Startup”

We need you to perform the following tasks:
• Discuss with students about Startup Skill & Internet Marketing issues and its conservation through team quiz, films and stories.
• Share the experience in Startup & Internet Marketing use in your home country.
• Participate in projects proposed by students in three day.
• Raise awareness of Startup & Internet Marketing use in a commune.
• Support local school, poor families.
• Visit the landscape around with students.

• Increase your knowledge of Vietnam through discovering its origin and history.
• Visit many historical places and tourist attractions, go trekking through Ngoc Son Ngo Luong Nature Reserve.

• Be awarded with a certificate of Vietnam Scientific Association for Development of Talents & Human Resources.
• Support the international volunteer who have startup idea in Vietnam

• Have a good command of the English language
• Ability to direct group activities
• Have communication skills (Startup Skill & Internet Marketing)
• Enthusiastic and positive
• Team player
• Have a desire to make a positive difference in mind and lives of students and community members

Length of commitment: 6 days (15 – 20.09.2013)

Cost: US $ 240 which includes a deposit of US $100, in including local transportation around the campsite, food, basic accommodation and materials for the workcamp. This fee will be transferred at least 3 weeks before the camp starts. CVTD covers transfer fee in our participation fee. Please deduct it from $ 240 when you make the transfer from your country.

Participation fees enable CVTD to take care of your stay and to fund their projects. Volunteers have to pay by themselves extra fee if they want to travel at the weekend.

Training provided: The training for the program will be one day prior to start of program. There will also be a closing meeting on the last day of program to discuss the best parts of the program and what can be done better in the future.

Number of Volunteers Needed: The program needs 20 international volunteers.
