Volunteering hosting project in Catalonia-12 months

The project aims to offer opportunities to young people and to entities that work with the most vulnerable people and with social supply projects. The project is located in the Terres de l'Ebre region. In the last edition, it cooperated with eight different local public and private entities mentioned to offer support in working with the most vulnerable groups (mainly young people and women).
The main objective of the project is to promote cohesion at the local level but also with young people from different countries, as well as to promote solidarity through direct work with the aforementioned groups. The impact created by hosting international youth enhances and fosters youth participation in democratic and civic life, and connects young people across the European Union and beyond to drive voluntary engagement, mobility in learning, solidarity and real intercultural understanding.
The dates are:
29 oh May 2023 to 29 of May 2024. It’s a long term project, 12 months.

The activities carried out by the volunteers have been carried out in entities of the territory. Thus, having the experience and the functions simplifies the fit between the volunteer and the place where they do their volunteering. The tasks carried out in the host entities with which we collaborated in the last edition of the program are described below:
*Punto Joven, belonging to the Tortosa City Council: support for youth activities for young people in diversity.
*Roquetes Civic Center: with the aim of promoting the social inclusion of infants and young people with fewer opportunities
*Obre't Ebre: collaboration in the tasks of the organization and guidance and inclusion projects.
*Caritas Diocesana de Tortosa: help and care for users in the service office.
*Instituto de l'Ebro: provide support with the educational project of the center, specifically with issues of inclusion, interculturality, the environment, values, languages and Erasmus Plus projects.
*Esplai Blanquerna Group: Participate in support tasks for the different services that are developed in the city and with the collaboration and cooperation with other local organizations.
*Atzavara-arrels: will attend to the attention, information and advice service and immigrants.
*Segona Volta: attend to store users, waste management and warehouse organization, family collection...
*Gepec: will work offering support to the environmental education activities and workshops of the entity at an environmental level
We are looking for a person between 18 and 30 years old, with a minimum level of A2 in Spanish, highly motivated by the project’s theme.
The participant must also come from a country of the EU or other participating country (Turkey or Ukraine).

The volunteering activity takes place in Tortosa, a village in Tarragona, Catalonia.
Are covered : the costs of accommodation, maintenance, pocket money, private medical insurance and travel (for international volunteers), etc.
