PROJECT SUMMARY
Me Linh, Soc Son & Dong Anh (03 outskirts districts of Hanoi) are affected of industrialization and they are in the process of urbanization as result of establishment some industrial zone such as Bac Thang Long industrial zone, Quang Minh industrial zone, Noi Bai industrial zone. The establishment of industrial zones leads to mass immigration from nearby rural provinces.
Immigration workers accounted for more than a half of total number of immigration in 3 districts. Many young workers are living in difficult condition. While we are all know that children have rights to basic subsistence, education and so on for normal human development, many of the children here are facing with difficulty in education as their parents can not afford to send them to a standard school. Hence, these children can not access to the modern world. They lack not only fundamental knowledge but many other living skills, and English seems to be beyond their abilities.
With the purpose to help these disadvantaged children approach to supplement knowledge and skills needed for their future, CVTD is implementing an educational program in local schools. CVTD is cooperating with local government to do advanced program Blended Learning that is done by foreign experts come from America, Europe, etc and Vietnamese teaching assistants.
The program aims at providing the children with basic English lessons and other extra activities including drawing, music and physical activities in leisure time. The children have class 3 days per week, each class lasts for 90 minutes to 120 minutes per day.
Beside that the volunteers will have time for teaching in Blended Learning Center, you will have more experiences, new teaching methodology if they want to continue teaching English in Vietnam, in your country or in another NGO.
CVTD often hold practical courses, workshops about innovation and improvement quality of teaching for English teacher in the public schools. The poor children will be free all of charge: school fee, books, notebooks & school supplies based on CVTD budget condition. Because that, we suggest the volunteer teach some normal classes to fundraising for this activity
