Understanding Risk Management on Youth projects

For a project with young people, the risk assessment process can be difficult, and the theoretical methods do not always provide practical solutions to problems

Ideal risk management is a prioritization process in which the risks with the highest loss (or impact) and the highest probability of occurrence are treated first, and the likelihood of lower occurrence and lower loss are treated in order decreasing.

But what does it mean in the practice of youth projects and especially in youth activities? For a project with young people, the risk assessment process can be difficult, and the theoretical methods do not always provide practical solutions to problems that may arise in such a project.

A risk manager can identify a type of risk that is 100% probable to occur, but could be ignored by the organization because of its lack of identification capacity.
For example, when deficient knowledge is applied to a situation, there is a risk of knowing. The risk of relationship occurs when inefficient collaboration takes place. The risk of process involvement may be a problem when inefficient operational procedures are applied. These risks directly reduce the productivity of organization and it staff, reduce communication and group dynamics, the quality of activities, the reputation of the organization, the value of the proposed activities, and finally reduce the quality of the project.
Risk management allows the organization's management to create an immediate response to identifying and reducing risks that reduce the quality of a youth project.
As a result of the training we aim to improve the quality of the activities of the organizations and the development of the skills and abilities of the key persons participating in youth projects within the ERASMUS + program.
