Training course for an integrated approach on science and human rights education

Developing competencies of youth workers on how to integrate science and human rights education in their nonformal education activities.

Objectives:
O1: Increase the competencies of 20 youth workers from the partnering countries, and who have interest in science and human rights, in new methods of non-formal education on how to integrate science and human rights;
O2: Develop critical thinking competencies among minimum 200 young people between 16 and 30 years old from the partnering countries with respect to science and human rights and their relationship and contribution to social progress.

What we aim to achieve:
● Exchange of good practices with the aim to create innovative ways in approaching and
managing education and training of young people by integrating civic education with science
education;
● Develop new practices by using science dissemination as a tool to increase youth
awareness of how scientific issues can be related to social issues;
● Develop a training course for educating youth trainers on how to integrate civic education
with science education;
● Improve youth trainers’ competencies linked to youth work; equip them with an innovative
thematic to be covered in their training;
● Encourage youth organizations to integrate the science-civics/human rights thematic and
methods in their training activities
