The project is a 3 days seminar, held in Milan - Italy from 22 to 26 February, involving 20/24 participants (4 for each partner) from Italy, Romania, Croatia, Spain and ???
The project aims to exchange of experiences, competences of youth workers supporting vulnerable groups, in particularly children and youth, through play and leisure activities in order to foster their inclusion. The seminar will focus on the educational implication of play techniques with children, adolescent, living in alternative care centers or institutions or attending Day Centers. The objectives are:
- to exchange experiences and best practices among youth workers from different countries
- to raise awareness about the role of the game in the educational process
- to bring out the learning needs of youth workers
- to create a new network of youth workers, on voluntary basis, supporting vulnerable children and youth .
Before the seminar, skype meetings will organise to start understanding among participants and to share in details the objectives and methodology. Each group of participants will prepare a short report (in any form) on the game leisure’s activities carried out and on the group of beneficiaries with whom they interact.
At the end of seminar, each association will organize an event to share the acquired skills with other youth workers
The profile of the ideal candidate:
- Youth workers, on voluntary basis, with experience in games and leisure activities with vulnerable children and youth
- Be motivated to develop their competences
- Competently able to work in English language
- Willing to share the experience of the seminar and skills gained with other youth workers in his country.
