STOP! ECO TIME

URGENT CALL for a partner that is as passionate in environment protection as we are!

DESCRIPTION – WHAT IS IT ALL ABOUT?
Is global warming real? And is it our fault?
If the climate crisis is such a pressing issue, why is the green party so underrepresented in the European Parliament?
Is saying no to plastic straws the right way to go?
These are just a few questions that describe the general climate of peoples’ conversations and interests when they talk about the
future of the Earth. Various natural disasters (fires, flooding, hurricanes, landslides), deforestation, littering, smog and greenhouse
gases have serious impacts not only on the human population, but the flora and the fauna of each continent. Influential people,
world leaders are still debating the importance of nature protection. We, the organizers along with our participants, aim to answer
these questions, debunk the eco-myths and discuss the fake news related to the topic of global warming and the climate crisis.

The participant will have the chance to improve their self-confidence, their language skills and to express their opinions freely. Our
final goal is to have a group of young people who are willing to actively cooperate and work together for a greener Europe in the
future. Once the project is over we would like to encourage the participants to start their own local projects, and bring the “Think
global, act local.” motto to life. We will also share a Hungarian best practice of a local project that has been developed by one of
the organizers.
Our activities will include creative workshops, intercultural discussions and debates, tasks for self-reflection, canoeing, city games,
project planning and many more. To strengthen the cultural component and therefore to contribute to the participants’
international experience, we will have an international evening and we will visit nearby cities.
And last but not least, we will learn about the Erasmus+ programme and the Youth Pass, discovering our opportunities and skills.
