The Partner-Finding Tool
Sports Activator is a small collaborative partnerships project with 3 main activities: good practices exchange, volunteering activity and European sport events.
Sports Activator is a small collaborative partnerships project that is aiming to exchange good practices and confront ideas and methods in activating youth by sport and physical activity.
The project will build a network of youth organisations with the increased capacity to operate at transnational level.
Sports Activator will promote voluntary activities in sport, together with social inclusion, equal opportunities and awareness of the importance of health-enhancing physical activity through increased participation in, and equal access to, sport for all.
The project will involve 3 main activities:
1. A transnational exchange among youth workers, facilitators, trainers, coaches, people involved in sports clubs from Europe, youth passionate about sports; the main result will be the creation of a toolbox with methods, instruments, good practices aiming to support the participation in sport and physical activity of small communities.
2. A short-term volunteering activity of two months, hosting 10 youth through European Solidarity Corps. The volunteers will develop a sports center that will facilitate the implementation of the toolbox in a small local community. The volunteers will also create video tutorials to promote a healthy lifestyle, creative sports and workouts. One of the results of the activity will be an unconventional sports event, named "European Sports Activator", developed by the volunteers, and implemented at European level by partners and interested organisations.
3. European Sports Activator: There will be an open call for organisations from small communities to implement the event concept developed by the volunteers, aiming to activate youth by sport and physical activity and raise the awareness on the value of sport and physical activity in relation to the personal, social and professional development of individuals. At least 10 organisations will host the event.
If you are an active organisation, interested or with experience in sport, please send us your motivation and PIF to superyouthprojects@gmail.com, deadline: 2 April 2018.
