In S.P.A.M project we teach children how to fill their offline time with educational and fun activities to develop their creativity, social and motor skills.
Aparaadi Youth Center is applying for an Erasmus+ KA2 project with the deadline 26th of April 2018
It is getting more common that children are spending hour after an hour staring at the screens of their digital gadgets doing nothing educational or important. In this way they are not improving their social skills, creativity or empathy. Nowadays it is very imortant that children have digial competences but on the other hand we have to make sure that children spend enough time playing outdoors with other children as well.
Parents also use more digital devices and do not have time to play with their children. Many children do not know how to play because they are used to entertain themselves with smartphone games.
In this project we raise children awareness of how many hours they lose every day while staring at the screens. We will teach them fun and educative games they can play together as an alternative to smart devices, so they can balance their screen and real life discovering/learning time.
During the project we will work with children in the age of 8-16. With every group of children we will have 4 topics and meetings. As the age varies we will have the same topic but different methods when teaching different age groups.
Topic for 1. meeting: Dangers in social media and how popular sites and apps manipulate with us into using them every day
Topic for 2. meeting: Developing social skills through interactive games
Topic for 3. meeting: Learning off the screen games and activities
Topic for 4. meeting: Developing social skills through fun games and activities
The project will take place from 01 of August 2018 till 01.04.2019 (It is a KA2 project)
We are looking for partners, who:
