Refugee – Religion and Stereotypes - do we really understand them?

A refugee is someone who has been forced to flee from his or her country because of persecution, war, or violence.

After WWII, Europe is facing a crucial moment in which religion and intercultural understanding are playing important roles in the life of its citizens and we encounter everyday stereotypes, fear for diversity, intolerance and rejection, exclusion of youth and a non-communicative approach.
"Refugee - Religion and Stereotypes - do we really understand them?" is born from this reality. Balkan countries and South-Europe area where the involved countries found themselves as the most affected ones. We do not realize the importance of the religious patrimony and cultural treasure belonging to it. Non-formal education, religious diversity, mutual understanding and volunteering actions are the key factors which can change the perspective, induce to the right interpretation of things and to a more democratic and inclusive Europe for all those involved actors working and non-profiting in the field of refugees' crisis and humanitarian aid.
Main aim: Development skills of youth workers to increase awareness and awareness of youth on refugee problems in order to support their inclusion in society

Objectives:
O1. Providing the framework to share best practices and experiences on the fight against racism and xenophobia in local, national and international level
O2. Increase and understanding of the reasons that cause migration to Europe
O3. Reducing resentments, stereotypes on cultural diversity between European citizens and refugees
O4. Developing a positive attitude, democratic and balanced which will be promoted in local media
We are ready to host at least 28 participants from 14 countries.
