Call for partners for a training course (3.1) on project management in youth activities promoting human rights or empowering minorities.

Global Human Right Defence is applying on May 1st for a Youth in Action Training Course, sub-action 3.1.

Indicative period: mid january 2013

Promoting and Protecting Rights: Projects Management in European Youth Work is an intercultural training course on human rights in Europe of seven days, taking place in The Hague, The Netherlands. The objective of this training course is to provide youth workers, volunteers and community leaders, working with vulnerable youngsters facing social exclusion or discrimination, the knowledge and skills to involve disadvantaged groups and minorities in youth activities, in order to raise awareness on human rights, combat prejudice and rights abuses and to empower minority groups to challenge the problems of marginalisation, discrimination and social exclusion of minorities in Europe.
Through a diverse programme of activities, consisting of several non-formal educational techniques as well as lectures and study visits, the participants will increase their knowledge of human and minority rights, share their experience, and create a network of like-minded organizations. The training course will end with the development of a project to be carried out in the participants’ home communities.
