Summary of the project 

SESKAD will organize an Erasmus+ KA220 Youth project to increase quality on volunteerism after disaster, post-disaster support and T-kit for volunteers in youth field. It will take place in Sivas, Turkey “between” 03-08 November 2023. This mobility aims to design an educational package for volunteers who want to help disaster victims. The package will focus on promoting connections between youth workers and youth leaders who work or study in the areas of volunteering and disaster relief. It will be specifically designed for young people who are involved in or interested in working on issues related to volunteering and helping disaster victims. Also, it aims to get to know each other, sharing experiences, building future collaborations, and to develop ideas for new youth projects.

Global aim

Our goal is to encourage collaboration and establish partnerships through the Erasmus+ Youth program with a focus on volunteerism for aftercare and conscious support for disaster victims.



Objectives

- Contact with the people, getting into the group, introducing the organizations.

- To profit the presence of different organizations, to develop ideas for new youth projects within the Erasmus+ Youth Program. 

- Been introduced to the reality of each other on personal, professional and cultural level 

- To understand differences of identity, culture, diversity and cultural diversity by relationship to nature.

- To offer the opportunity to meet partner groups and develop concrete ideas for future projects focusing on volunteerism for aftercare and conscious support for disaster victims.


- To create atmosphere of common understanding between people representing different cultures, working styles, studies etc.
- To be aware of importance of ecology and ecopolitics in local, regional and international level

- To develop skills and attitudes. 



Methodology 

There will be different methodologies used during the youth workers mobility, such as workshops, simulations, presentations, and exchange of experiences and sharing best practices on the context of experiential learning.
Participant profile

In general participants should: 

• have clear interest in volunteerism for aftercare and conscious support for disaster victims.
• have clear interest in developing youth projects
• 
take responsibility and be willing to share knowledge, experience and good practices with their participants.
• 
Have elementary knowledge of the Erasmus+ Youth program 

• have ideas for future projects
• 
interested in intercultural dialogue
• 
full attendance
• Over 20 y.o.




Financial conditions 

The accommodation, food and visa for all participants will be covered in total by project budget. Travel expenses will be reimbursed within limits to the participants.


Application Process

To apply for the participation in this project, please fill the identification of promoters form and send it back to us until the 20th April 2023 via e-mail as scanned. After that we will inform all organizations that apply for YWM, both selected and unselected.

You can take the bus from Sivas airport to the city center. Your hotel is in the city center.
It takes about 1 hour to fly from İstanbul to Sivas. If you want to travel by bus, it is cheaper, but it takes 12 hours. Please contact us if you need help planning your travel route.
