PLAyful InnovaTIve New Media (PLATIN)

The PLATIN project seeks to respond to the need of empowering young people to become digital active citizens, active digital culture agents, promoting the development of skills for creativity and the generation of content and digital and European culture among them, through the creation of an online gamified educational resource. The developed digital education platform will provide necessary tools for trailers to educate young peoples to use digital medium for social inclusion and social activism. Young people will move to the year 2030 and as applicants for a position as collaborators in an online media (PLAyful InnovaTIve New Media) they will have opportunities to prove their skills and competencies, performing a series of challenges and tasks, all related to the digital world and culture. They will design news, narratives and TV programs which possibly would happen in 2030. While they produce these news, they will do role play and team building activities that will close the gap between local and Ukrainian young peoples, as well as these news will bring new perspectives to all young people to understand and empathize with each other. PLATIN will aim to increase their soft skills, including critical thinking, decision making, active citizenship and creativity. By equipping young women with these skills, PLATIN will aim to increase their adaptation and ensure their social inclusion.
