Peace Forever

With this Project, we will address primarily the problem which the youth in our province and all over the country are uninterested in about their involvement in social events and decision making.
Our project will contribute that the youth in our province get closer to political decision making , they have more authority in management ,they are aware of this issue. And also it provides the creation of social responsibility and active citizenship among the youth. This project allows that the youth will be sensitive individuals to social problems, knowledgeable, sociable and good at problem solving and also will be effective in ensuring continuity of the country and can unite the differences in common purpose.
In this project our target group is 40 young people aged between 13-30. This target group is selected as we believe that the world’s future will be shaped in accordance with the competencies and skills of young people in today’s society. That is why; our goal is training, educating and reintegration of the youth who are the most powerful element for tomorrow’s society.

The goals of our project entitled Peace Forever:
-The reasons which prevent the participation of young people in democratic life and how to deal with these factors will be investigated
-It contributes to development of participatory democracy ideas and European citizenship among young people.
- The youth who are the decision making of the future are trained by using informal education methods for representative democracy and decision making process. They have preparation process and gain awareness for active citizenship.
-It will improve the dialogue between young people and public institutions,
-It will create social responsibility and awareness of cultural differences as a source of wealth.
-The participants will gain some qualifications such as tolerance, working and acting together in solidary for the solution of common problem of young people.
-The participants are encouraged to the work at European level and to see the processing concept of active citizenship in a country that is a member of European country.
To be achieved project objectives by all partners, we use continues communication and collaboration methods.
Project preparation includes press conference, announcing the project on the web site, and creating of mail groups.
Implementation activities of the project includes feasibility visit, survey, workshop events ( poster contest, cartoon drawings, photographs, theatrical events), interviews, Choir of Civilizations , Training course, conference, visit of Turkish Grand National Agency and parliaments in other countries, exhibitions and opening stands.
Evaluation activities of the project include project book, theatre CD and final report.

Project outputs include website of the project and project book.
Dissemination activities of the project includes declaration of the project funded in the website and in the local press, replication of project outcomes,; designing, preparing and printing of project poster, providing Youthpass documents, interviews . In addition, the choir of Civilizations will provide both sustainability and dissemination.

This project is designed to social responsibility and active citizenship to the youth. In this context, estimated project results:
-All project partners will make a comparative study of the causes that prevent young people’s participation in democratic life, citizenship awareness and social responsibility.
-It provides to see examples of god practice and to search different solutions.
-Youngsters from different countries can work together for active citizenship and social responsibility and also this project contributes to youth work in our province at European level.
-The idea of respect for the people and environment will settle in their mind and effective strategies to combat racism and xenophobia.
-It ensures the participation young people in the local community.
-It provides to increase the skills and competencies in conflict resolution in our city.
-The citizens will have more information for their rights and responsibilities.
-It will be an increase in future political participation of young people .
