WHAT: A-five-day training program for youth workers and educators to nurture self-confidence in adolescents with fewer opportunities.
WHERE & WHEN: The aim is to host this training at CiudadEscuela Muchachos (CEMU) on September 2019 for eight countries and three participants per country.
HOW: The theme of this program is to learn about strategies and tools to nurture self-confidence in these adolescents. The idea is for participants of European organizations working for adolescents with fewer opportunities to learn Good Practices from other countries, that help to boost their self-confidence in these youngsters in the following areas:
• Youth participation
• Emotional Intelligence
• Role models & bonding
• Communication skills
• Employment career orientation
Identified need(s) regarding ‘social inclusion’ for this training:
• Provide access to more opportunities for motivating youth to motivate youth in order to build their self-confidence
• Tools to empower youth through Participation
• Mechanisms and strategies to nurture their individual self-esteem (Emotional Intelligence)
• Tools to develop a relationship of mutual trust between youth and their education
• Teaching communication and social skills
• Personal Emancipation Itinerary (labor orientation, professional training, and education possibilities)
• Share Good Practices with others in social inclusion and about the themes of this training
MAIN AIM:
• Tools and strategies for youth workers to create opportunities to overcome fears and develop self confidence among adolescents in situations of vulnerability
SPECIFIC OBJETIVES FOR YOUTH WORKERS:
• Commitment of participants from start to finish of the project
• Active engagement of participants during the project, in searching for Good Practices and in the organization of the main activity
• Improve communication skills in an intercultural environment
• Learning other strategies and methodologies to do their job
