Now it makes sense!

From our very young ages we are exploring the world through our senses. We learn how to use each of them in order to learn, interact, communicate and create. But how well do we really know our senses? Are we fully appreciating and taking advantage of them? And are they only five? “Now it makes sense” is a youth exchange dedicated on the exploration of our senses! Interesting workshops and activities will promote a deeper understanding of each sense individually and will assist participants to detect a whole new spectrum of senses, which they might have never realized before! Specifically except from the well-known range of senses (touch, smell, taste, sight, hearing) we will introduce the senses of balance and acceleration, temperature, kinesthetic sense, pain, intuition, time and numerous internal sense. Through this experience, participants will realize the value of their senses and based on them they will develop a creative and sensitive way of expression. Furthermore, they will have the opportunity to participate in stimulation activities and come closer to the reality of people with disabilities which connect to their senses. Each day will be dedicated in one or two senses. We will approach each sense in various aspects and apply the “learning by doing” method in every activity.

YOUTHphoria is applying for the “Now it makes sense!” project, a youth exchange program under the Erasmus+.
The youth exchange will take place in Pieria, Greece on Autumn 2017.
Our informal youth group is actively involving volunteers in the application’s procedure and so we are planning to do with our partners. We are looking for partners willing to participate with creativity and positivity in the whole procedure of the project. We will work together on the activities’ program and decide on specific objectives, addressing to each partner’s special needs and abilities.
