The project attempts to train youths with intellectual disability as community leaders.

The limited or non-existent presence of people with intellectual or development disabilities in political and social life of our communities, either leading or participating in public institutions, work groups, knowledge networks or even in civil society organizations (even in those that represent their interests), they make it possible to affirm that we are facing a group in clear risk of social exclusion, a group of people that can not exercise with full guarantees their role of citizenship and who lacks a direct voice to talk about their interests and to defend their rights.

The main objectives of the project are the empowerment of people with intellectual and development disabilities, facilitate their participation in social and political life even at European level, as well as provide support and training to a new generation of young people called to lead the defence of their own rights and interests.
We are looking for partners with this profiles:
• Experts in leadership.
• Experts in competences for intellectual disable people (assessment and training).
• Experts in training design for intellectual disable people
• Experts in adaptation of materials for people with disabilities. "Easy Reading".
• Organizations that works with young people with intellectual disability.
