"Let`s work togehter" is a Partnership Building Activity, under Youth in Action programme, action 3.1

"Let`s work togehter" is a Partnership Building Activity, under Youth in Action programme, action 3.1, which aims to bring together potential partners of future co-operation from EU, South East Europe, Eastern Europe and Caucasus and Mediterranean Partner countries, by developing projects within the Youth in Action Programme. During the project activities, participants will have the chance to learn about each other cultures, share experiences in the field of youth projects, brainstorm about new possibilities for starting new joint projects using Youth in Action programme as a framework and, finally start networking and working on concrete project ideas. The organizers will provide basic knowledge and information about the YiA programme; as well they will involve people with experience in this field who will guide the participants through the process of developing a project idea. Also, during project activities, there will be some working sessions that will provide participants with relevant information’s about project management and project writing issues.
Participant will be divided in the following groups of interests and they will further work in these groups in order to prepare joint projects:
• Art & culture;
• Human rights education;
• Democracy and local participation.

Aims of the PBA
• To make contact between EU, SEE, EECA and Mediterranean Partner Countries organizations for future co-operation within the Youth in Action programme
• To train participants from partner and programme countries in the necessary technical, administrative and educational elements for preparing and organizing future joint projects.
• To build successful partnerships and intercultural understanding between East, West and South for future collaboration.
• To acquire project management and communication competencies for international activities within the target regions.

Participants:
16 young people- 1 participant for each promoter aged 18-25 years

Activities:

The programme of activities is designed to support participants to develop and plan their Youth in Action projects to be implemented after the seminar, including the following:
 Youth in Action program. Participants will get information about the Youth in Action Program, objectives, priorities, eligibility criteria with focus under Action 3.1 –youth exchanges and training projects.
 Project Management. Participants will gain knowledge on how to write and manage an Youth in Action project. They will reflect on current needs in their local community. They will define concrete project ideas.
 Teamwork. They will be given suggestions on work in international teams: decision-making process, division of tasks and cooperation between the partner groups.
 Local Impact. Participants will share experiences about local impact and will gain new knowledge about how they can improve local impact of their projects.
 Intercultural Experience. Participants will experience intercultural awareness: values, stereotypes, prejudices, relation between cultures in international projects.
 Contact Making. Participants will get to know each other’s projects, organizations and will share previous experiences and good practices at local or European level. They will also build strong partnerships and develop new projects under the theme of contact making seminar.
 Networking. A network of active organization, working in the field of youth projects will be established after the project is over, in order to keep contact and further work on common projects.

Youth in Action philosophy, aims and objectives
Presentation of the Youth in Action Programme with special focus on youth exchanges and trainings under action 3.1
Presentation of participant’s countries –Country fair
Sharing information’s about the context where the organizations are operating.
Project management issues incurred during implementation of a YiA project.
Working in intercultural teams. Equal partnerships, task division, responsibilities. Communication issues.
How to prepare a Youth in Action project- technical aspects (application, deadlines, finance, visa, money transfer, etc).
Presentation of organizations - Organizations Fair.
Bank ideas: collecting ideas about possible projects
Mission impossible –visit into local community
Projects factory - work with partners on creating projects.
Evaluation of the PBA.

Approach and Methodology
The seminar will be based on the principles and practice of non-formal education taking into account your needs, motivations and previous experiences as starting point of the programme. A diversity of working methods will be used for learning Youth in Action programme and project management: reflection groups, mind-showering, creating new ideas, discussions, debates, simulations, etc. Participants will be supported actively to work on concrete project ideas. There will be space for regular feedback and evaluations.

Finances:
Through project budget, organizers will cover: food, accommodation, visa cost and 70% of the travel expenses.
