Legends of Europe

The project aims to strengthen connections between young people located around Europe through the exchange of myths and legends from participating countries.

The project aims to strengthen connections between young people located around Europe through the exchange of myths and legends from participating countries. In every country children are raised with fables which project cultural ideals and shape ethical perceptions. The characters and setting may vary in each tale; however the morals that underpin the stories are strikingly similar. Through exchanging these stories we hope to create a collective dialogue that can act as a stimulus for a variety of creative mediums such as drama, animation, puppetry and video. The experience will give those involved an insight into different cultures, philosophies and beliefs to encourage a greater awareness and understanding of other countries.
